People become motivated to create for a number of reasons; George helped to create Optix to provide a platform for him to work at a level which would continue to challenge him. George began his craft more than 20 years ago in Hamburg, Germany as an editor and compositor. Crossing the Atlantic, he landed in Toronto and continued his search for creative challenges at a number of post production companies which ultimately lead to the birth of Optix. Not merely a figurehead, George possesses an in-depth knowledge of emerging HD technologies and ensures that only the best tools find their way into our suites. As the senior compositing artist, he used to deliver exceptional creative products. George has worked on commercials for McDonald's, Microsoft, Much Music, several German clients, as well as a telly-award-winning spot for Stratford’s 50th anniversary. George's episodic experience is equally diverse and accomplished with credits on I Was a Sixth Grade Alien, Brats of the Lost Nebula and Monster by Mistake. George brings a technical prowess and the passion of creativity to the evolving world of compositing and editing.
